Responsibility

Ethical Mongolian Cashmere

Our cashmere is made in our family run factory in Ulaanbaatar, shaped by long standing relationships with nomadic herders and the artisans who have refined this craft for decades.

Inside our family run factory in Ulaanbaatar

Our family run factory

In Ulaanbaatar, our family has operated its own cashmere factory for decades, overseeing each stage from fibre selection to spinning, dyeing, knitting and finishing.

Nomadic herders and free roaming cashmere goats

Our Nomad Partners

The goats roam freely across the Mongolian steppes and are cared for year round by nomadic herders. Each spring, the fibre is gently combed by hand as part of the natural shedding cycle.

Artisanship

Many of the women in our factory have worked with us for more than twenty years. Their knowledge shapes the handle, drape and finish of every piece we create.

Colour and dyeing

Colour is developed inside our own factory. Our dyes are supplied by Huntsman Advanced Materials Switzerland and certified to GOTS, Oeko Tex Standard 100 and EU Ecolabel standards.

Nomadic herders guiding cashmere goats across the Mongolian steppes

The goats roam freely across the Mongolian steppes, grazing on native grasses and moving with the rhythm of the seasons. Each spring, their fine undercoat is gently combed by hand as part of a natural cycle, ensuring their wellbeing and preserving the balance between land, animal and maker.
