Our cashmere is born within a family run factory in Mongolia, led and sustained by women whose knowledge has been built over generations and continues to shape every stage of our production.

“I grew up in Mongolia and when I was a little girl I spent time at my parents factory, watching them build their business and wanting to help where I could! I have a close relationship with many of the women at the factory - some have been there for over twenty years ”
-Mandkhai J.
Head of Programme Development at our Mongolian Factory
The combined experience of the factory team brings a deep understanding of the cashmere fibre, from its handle and weight to how it behaves once knitted and finished.
The production process ranges from sorting and grading raw cashmere to knitting and finishing each piece, applying a level of precision that can only come from long-term, hands-on practice.
Decision making, quality control and production are guided by women with technical knowledge and long-standing experience, allowing consistency to be maintained across every stage of manufacture. This results in a deliberate production process with a clear focus on quality.

In Mongolia, women have traditionally played a central role in both family and industry. Within our factory, this is reflected in a working culture built around responsibility and shared knowledge.
This structure allows for continuity across seasons and collections. Each Mandkhai piece carries this accumulated experience. Skills are developed and knowledge is passed on internally, ensuring that standards remain consistent over time.
To wear Mandkhai is to wear a garment shaped by time, process and expertise, where the origin of the craft is integral to the final design.
